Girls Incarcerated

Girls Incarcerated: Young and Locked Up is an American documentary television series released on Netflix on March 2, 2018, that initially followed the teenage inmates of the Madison Juvenile Correctional Facility in Madison, Indiana which has since been closed down.

AVAILABLE NOW ON NETFLIX

UPDATE GIRLS

So, where are the girls now? It's been months since filming wrapped, and according to executive producer Jordana Hochman, producers do not keep in touch with the participants. Luckily for us, many of them are on social media, providing their new followers with some major life updates.

BRIANNA GUERRA

The outspoken teen was only 17 years old when she landed in the juvenile detention center featured on the Netflix docuseries for a series of offenses, including drinking, armed robbery, and drug use. The last we heard of Brianna, she was back in custody after violating probation one month after her release.

However, today, Brianna is still in Indianapolis and working on a new TV and radio. "This is where my TV show is going to be at," she said in a recent FB Live video. "I need y'all to watch my show when this motherf-ker come on the TV... I'm gonna be on the radio and it's going to be all around the world." Get it, girl!

PAIGE MCATEE

Paige struggled to control her temper (and her attitude) during her time at the juvenile detention facility. She also opened up about her mom, who also served time in prison, and eventually befriended her nemesis Heidi Lankin before the series ended.

Now, she is currently expecting her first child. Paige shared a baby bump selfie on her Facebook page. She is expecting a baby boy on April 22 2018

HEIDI LANKIN

Each teen feature on the series has a powerful story, but Heidi's was especially difficult to watch. She revealed she was sexually abused as a child and ultimately developed anger issues stemming from the violation. This made her postponed release, due to her behavior, even harder to watch.

She is currently out of jail and recently shared with her followers that she suffered a miscarriage. "RIP little one," she captioned the graphic photo earlier this year. She is also taking the take to call out her haters on the social media platform.

AUBREY WILSON

Aubrey spent nine months behind bars after completing her substance abuse program at the center. However, she ran away just weeks after her release and was dealing with her strained relationship with her mom, who also struggled with drug use.

It looks like the teen is back to her old ways. Her Facebook page is full of photos of Aubrey and friends smoking, flicking off the cameras, and posing seductively. However, if you really want to keep up with her, you can add her on Snapchat at aubreyalexis219.

TARYN TWINE

The high schooler and gymnastics enthusiast's story was definitely a tear-jerker after it was revealed that Taryn asked to be sent to the juvenile corrections facility as punishment after killing her best friend in a car accident. On the show, she was known for her love of cartwheels, and for earning her burgundy shirt in record speed.

Today, Taryn is your typical teen who loves Snapchat filters - and according to her Facebook page, she is single.

ARMANI BUCKNER

It was Armani's relationship with fellow ~student~ Alexis Miller that won viewers over on the Netflix series. However, their love story does not have a happy ending. According to Armani's Facebook page, she is dating Parris- and she recently surprised her girlfriend with a Valentine's Day set up in their hometown of Evansville, IN.

"We never breaking up so... yeah. I love you," she recently wrote on her page.

SARAH MAXWELL

In the Netflix series, you meet Sarah - who was in and out of foster care since the age of five due to her mother's drug abuse. She revealed the reason she started getting in trouble in her teens as a way to get back at her mom.

Today, she is doing better than ever, and thanking her supporters for the positive messages she has been receiving since the show's premiere. "I just wanted to say thank you to everyone for showing me so much support from the Netflix show," she wrote on Facebook. "Your guy's words give me motivation to keep doing better. And setting my goals higher. Your words mean the world to me. I'm
happy to know that sharing my story has helped."

NAJWA POLLARD

Najwa opened about her troubled childhood, including the abused she endured from her father, on camera, but what was even more heartbreaking was the fact that she was stuck at the Madison Juvenile Correctional Facility indefinitely because there were no family members to release her to.

And it looks like Najwa might still be behind bars. Her last Facebook post was dated Jan. 15, 2016 where she opened up about the situation. "In lock up," she told her grandmother when she asked where she was. "I was but he hit me so I ran away."

JACIE MINNICK

As the former psychiatric social services counselor featured in Girls Incarcerated, there was no doubt Jacie touched the hearts of all the girls she helped with her positive personality and Bob Ross happy tree hairdo.

Since the show's premiere, she has been very vocal on social media about getting involved in your community, and helping teens like Najwa and Chrissy. "If it bothers you: 1. Get involved 2. Reach out to your local government official about it," she tweeted. "I wasn't the volunteer coordinator but surely had college student mentors in there on Friday nights to host programs. So, what are you going to do to do better?"
